At last! We had a match to play. Or almost not!
Having checked with Mortonhall that all was well for our visit (with Covid restrictions in place) and, on the morning, that there was no rain due and that the wind was moderate, things were looking good. That was until I received a txt to say the course was closed due to FOG. Not on my check list!
However, the fog lifted and the course was reopened.
7 team players from each Division met up at Mortonhall to play for the Liz Miskimmin Friendship Trophy. It was good to meet up with old and new faces. The course may not have been at its best due to the severe weather conditions over the winter but we were made very welcome and everyone enjoyed their games. The result was a halved match which meant that Midland, who won last time, retained the trophy.
