The Championship final took place this afternoon at a very sunny and hot Haddington Golf Club
The golf on display was fantastic to watch.
The final was played between Jennifer Bryans and Anne Hanson.The match was played in a great spirit. With Jennifer showing great fighting spirit to win.

Hole 1 halved in pars. Anne went 1 up with a birdie on the second. Hole 3 halved in pars.Then 2 up on the fourth. Both had great drives on the fifth with Jennifer just finding a bunker on the left, short of the green. Anne 3 up. Jennifer pulled one back at the sixth .But Anne regained her 3 hole advantage when she won the 7th. Jennifer had a lovely birdie 2 at the par 3 8th, now 2 down. Jennifer then won the next two holes when Anne found fairway bunkers on both holes.Match all square.The 11th hole was halved in pars and Jennifer won the 12th with a bogie to go 1 up. Jennifer won the 13th with a birdie and also won the 14th when Anne yet again found a bunker. Jennifer now 3 up. The 15th was halved in pars. Anne pulled one back at the 16th with a long putt for a birdie. Jennifer 2 up with 2 to play. The par 3 17th was halved in pars to clinch the match 2 and 1 for Jennifer.
Congratulations to Jennifer who now represents East Vets at the Championships at Blairgowrie in September.
