The annual Foursomes Match for the Friendship Trophy was played at Kilmacolm Golf Club on Tuesday 15th August. The match was played in great spirit. The West won by 5 games to nil.
Anne Judge & Liz Hale beat Caroline Kinnaird & Ellice Cackett 5 & 3
Joanne Sharp & Anabel Kane beat Marion Glauch & Clare Bowie 1 up
Lynn McColl & Ann Shanks beat Louise Campbell & Jane Nelson 3 & 2
Marion Stewart & Morag Key beat Kate Johnston & Sue Cowie 4 & 3
June Lockhart & Jennifer Graham beat Viv Mitchell & Anne Rorrison 1 up
Despite being whitewashed the East team had a great day. The course was in lovely condition despite the heavy overnight rain and some of the fairways being very wet.
Thanks to the West for their hospitality.
