Our East Vets 2021 Annual General Meeting and Prizegiving Lunch is being held at Gullane Golf Club on Sunday 7th November starting at 11.15am. Winners of trophies and vouchers have already been notified by email. A good attendance of prize winners and non-prize winners would be appreciated.

Members wishing to come to the lunch, which will cost £17 inclusive of gratuity for a two-course buffet, with tea or coffee prior to the AGM and after the lunch, should make a bank transfer to the East Vets Account by 31st October.

You may remember that last year we were unable to hold an AGM. The Committee completed a Report and engaged with a number of members to adopt the relevant reports including the appointment of the Office Bearers. A copy of this report will soon be available the blog.

Members not able to attend the AGM can simply send their apologies to esvlgasecretary@gmail.com.

The Committee look forward to welcoming you to Gullane GC for the AGM.

Kind regards

Susan Penman

The SVLGA championship was played at Blairgowrie GC, on the Lansdowne Course on Sunday, September 19th and Monday 20th.

Representing East Vets was Karen Marshall who played herself through to the final against Elaine Moffat. Those watching were treated to an amazing display of golf. It is a pity someone had to lose but it went to the wire with Elaine winning on the 18th.
Well done Karen.

The Patrick Rosebowl singles competition was played on the Rosemount course on Monday, September 20th and I am delighted to report that the East Division excelled themselves!

Friday 16th September - East v Borders Vets at Musselburgh GC

A super day was had by all today at Musselburgh GC for the East v Borders Greensomes annual event.

From the time we all arrived for the usual pre match rolls and coffee we were looked after by all MGC staff with such care and attention.

Shot of the day award most definitely goes to Katy Gillies, hole in 1 at the 11th hole.

Congratulations Katy!

My thanks go to all players in both teams for a great match and especially to MGC for courtesy of the

Our Autumn Meeting was held today at Liberton Golf Course.

We were made very welcome by both Iain, the Pro, and the catering staff who apart from providing a great service offered the Committee, who were sitting outside, a hot water bottle as the temperature started to drop.

The scores were good due not only to the quality of play but to the fact that the course was in fantastic condition.

Congratulations to all the winners and a big thank you to Liberton Golf Club.
