SVLGA Blairgowrie Meeting

The above two days of competition take place on Monday 25th & Tuesday 26th September. Entry forms are now available from Dulcie Barnes (phone 01620892339 to request a form which covers two players for both the individual medal round and greensomes entries)The forms will also be available from the desk at the Spring Meeting on Tuesday 11th April; The completed form together with £124 per pair £62 per person- Cheque made payable to SVLGA, should be returned to Dulcie by Monday 24th April . Please note that there are only nine places allocated to the East Division this year so if more entries are received than places available, a ballot will take place.

Coffee Morning at Glencorse Golf Club

A great turn out of 47 ladies attended the East Vets Coffee Morning this morning at Glencorse Golf Club. Listening to the volume of chat and the number of smiling faces everyone enjoyed themselves.
After Coffee and Scones we split into teams and had a Golf Quiz.

The winning team were from left to right Janette Laing (Musselburgh), Maureen Cranston (Prestonfield), and Annette Sutherland (Deeerpark).
Many Thanks to Glencorse for allowing us the use of their lounge and a big thank you to David (Club Steward) and Billy for the Coffee /Tea and delicious Scones.

Coffee Morning.Monday 20th February at Glencorse Golf Club

 

The ESLVGA Coffee Morning is being held at Glencorse Golf Club on Monday 20th February 2017 at 10:30 am. Present, Past and New members are invited to attend.This is an opportunity to meet up with friends before the golf season starts.We hope as many as possible will attend. Please let our Secretary Dulcie Barnes know by Monday 13th February if you will be attending.This will allow us to inform Glencorse numbers for catering.

Scottish Golf recruiting new course rating volunteers

Scottish Golf is looking to recruit new course rating volunteers, and already have had a lot of folk signing up.  Some volunteers are still required in a few areas where uptake has been slower (namely Angus, Ayrshire, The Borders and Lanarkshire). The aim is to ensure that lady course raters are being recruited as well as gents so that the best interests of women's golf are served in the course rating process.

If anyone is interested in volunteering for this interesting work, the first step would be to contact Adam Phillips, Golf Administrator at Scottish Golf (contact details - Tel:   0131 339 3987, e mail:  a.phillips@scottishgolf.org)

The next step would be to attend an Introductory seminar during March or April - these will be held at various locations throughout Scotland as below.
