Blairgowrie Competitions 2022

 

The SVLGA annual competitions will be held again at Blairgowrie GC in September this year. 

The Patrick Rosebowl (played on Rosemount) – Singles – Monday 26^th September 2022 

The Beddows Quaich (played on Lansdowne) – Greensomes – Tuesday 27th September 2022 

East Vets has been allocated a limited number of spaces and a ballot will take place if applications exceed our allocated spaces.  * 

Those interested in applying should download an application form directly from the SVLGA website. The cost of entry is £130 per couple, which gives you a place in both the singles and greensomes.  The completed application form should be sent to esvlgasecretary@gmail.com by Saturday 1^st May. 

No payment is required at this time. We will notify you after 3^rd May if you have been successful in your application. 

Tee times – SVLGA has asked that those applying to please vary their choice of tee times as they do receive numerous requests for a start time of between 10-12.

 *For those of you who have been to Blairgowrie before you will be familiar with the set up, but for anyone who hasn’t played in this competition previously the idea is that you enter with a partner.

ESVLGA Spring Meeting at Winterfield GC Monday 4th April 2022.

 

A wild & windy Winterfield hosted our Spring Meeting this morning. We say a huge thank you to all at the Golf Club, they could not have been more accommodating, the Pro, Greenkeepers, Bar & Kitchen all fabulous.

The course proved to be a tricky one today with the swirling gusting wind. The theme of the day appeared from the cards to be ‘a game of two halves’ and not consistently the same way round!

It was lovely to meet some new Vets at the 1st tee and see the ‘weel-kent faces’ too.

Well played to all who braved the 18 holes, some better than others but all very much enjoyed the day at the golf and meeting new chums.

Very well done to all the East Vets committee today who all pulled together as a brilliant Team. This was our first live competition using the new (to us) ClubV1.

The score recording was a seamless operation due wholly to Janet F & Anne R! Many thanks all.
