2016 SEASON APPROACHING
Spring Meeting/Ramsden Cup/Friendship Foursomes Quaich
Easter is early this year and the draws for all the above competitions will be made on Easter Monday so if anyone who wants to play has not already entered, remember to send your entries to Dulcie Barnes before Easter. The closing date is 26th March.
SVLGA Blairgowrie Meeting
The above two days of competition take place on 19th & 20th September. Entry forms are now available from Dulcie Barnes (phone 01620892339 to request a form which covers two players for both the individual medal round and greensomes entries); the completed form together with £114 per pair should be returned to Dulcie. Please note that there are only a limited number of places allocated to the East Division so if more entries are received than places available, a ballot will be done.
Scottish Seniors at Fortrose & Rosemarkie
A number of ESVLGA members often play in the Scottish Seniors which this year is to be played at Fortrose and Rosemarkie Golf Club. Some of you may have noticed that the format was initially announced as 54 holes strokeplay but the format has now reverted to a strokeplay championship over two rounds to determine the Strokeplay Champion as well as qualifiers for the matchplay. The Strokeplay Championship takes place on 29th and 30th June with the Matchplay Championship following on 1st and 2nd July, with a handicap knockout for a nett winner as in previous years. The one change to the format is that it is now Open rather being a Scottish Closed Championship. Further information is available on the Scottish Golf website including information on how to enter.
