After all the excitement of the Open at Muirfield, the extended heatwave and then the thunder and lightning, it's time to resume the contest to determine our East Vets Champion for 2013.
Our Captain, Marjory Lauder, extends her best wishes to the eight quarter-finalists and hopes that the weather stays fair and the bounces are kind for all contestants.
As a reminder of those who remain in with the opportunity of winning, here are the quarter final pairings:

Anne Hanson (4) vs Morag Wardrop (5)
Norma Richmond (3) vs Karen Ballantyne (6)
Anne Brownie (2) vs Susan Penman (7)
(Figures in brackets are the order of qualification.)
The semi-finals and final are to be played on Sunday 4th August: 10.00 and 10.08 a.m for the semifinals with the Final at 3p.m. Spectators will be very welcome on the 4th August.
