Always On The Go!

If anyone saw a buggie heading back out to the golf course long after all the ladies were in, it was the on-site crack Course Rating Team of Ethel (the terrier) Jack and Sue (only slightly less terrier-like) Penman. It had been noticed by some competitors that several of the ladies tees were 10-15 yards in front of the permanent markers such that the legality of the competition was in question. No sooner said than done, Ethel and Sue drove out to measure the distance on all teeing grounds between permanent markers and the ladies tees but were eventually able to report that the sum total of this discrepancy was less than the magic 100 yards as specified in "Congu". The competition results stood - much to the joy of those ladies with great scores. Thanks Ethel and Sue. Hope you didn't catch pneumonia.
